NHDR Book Cover Design for UNDP, China

Designing this book cover took me almost a hundred years of time, unfortunately none of them were adopted.  The design they finally picked to me looks really boring... the practice of designing book cover made a skillful graphic designer, from that perspective I have never regretted about the hard work I put into this project.

Sea and beach, how nice.  Though it has nothing to do with Human Development.

Design No. 14

This paper-cut image is the symbol artwork of famous artist Mr. Lv Sheng Zhong.  It looks human, but could also symbolize birth control.
Design No. 15

Another design using Lv’s paper-cut image.  One of my friends pointed out that it looks like a devil in anger.

Oh no...

A man’s hand profile overlaps with a lady’s hand profile.  I favored this one, if there were more time I could do a better job with illustration too.

No luck.
